The challenge

Our client, an ambitious SME healthcare provider, targeted the British Transport Police (BTP) London custody healthcare contract. The operational environment was complex, requiring forensic and general care, liaison and diversion (L&D), and officer call handling tailored to the railway network’s unique threats including severe intoxication, county lines exploitation, and drug concealment.

Having recently acquired an established custody business, our client was entering the police custody market as a new group. They had to prove operational superiority in a highly specialised policing environment and unseat the entrenched incumbent, Mitie Care & Custody.

What we did
